Woman's antique Victorian dark brown suede opera length gloves ~ from a salon who's designer won the Grand Prix at the Paris Exposition 1889 ~ signed and dated Paris France 1889 ~ Victorian ~ lined in a soft beige color ~ black mother of pearl buttons at the wrist openings *3 each glove* ~ Labels appear in side at the wrist openings on both gloves ~ left glove is marked with the importers label and size: "Toini Marvex Banomn & Co. New York" & "Made in France" and size "6 3/4" ~ the right glove has "Grand Prix Exposition" under this in script is the makers name "Freforaeole" & "Exposition Paris 1889" ~ from my personal collection of antique clothing- measures: 21' long *from the tip of the third finger to the top*
- 2 5/8" across the palm
- gloves measures: 6 3/4" wide across the top of the glove
- wrist openings measure: 4 1/4" long *3 small MOP buttons for each glove*
- each glove on the top has 3 rows of top stitching at the center at the middle finger
- additional marks: the left glove also has a set of #'s: A185 & "831 ~ 713 ~ A" plus the letter "U" at the top of the glove inside
- condition: very good to excellent *they show no sings of wear and may never have been worn* ~ some of the labels are getting more difficult to read as they age *all in side marking are in a soft blue color*
