Vintage man's black sack coat or jacket from the Civil War era ~ 1860s to 1870s Victorian period ~ Single breasted three button coat with contrasting edging at the cuffs, breast pocket and coat edge from the collar, lapel to the single vent back ~ buttons are fabric covered metal ~ two at the back vent and 2 each at the cuffs ~ lined in black with striped ticking in the sleeves ~ one inside pocket ~ material is probably wool faille- chest: 36 to 38 ~ *38 max*

- condition: very good for its age ~ no dry rot or holes ~ buttons at the sleeves show wear ~ lining inside just below the pocket shows one area of fabric splitting ~ this can be easily restored
